I am a big fan of Hacker News. However, given tons of posts are created everyday on HN, sometimes it could be difficult to keep up with stories that I’m interested in. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to collect and digest stories regularly based on my own interests? So I built HN Mail, a topic-based newsletter service, to solve this particular problem.
One can subscribe to a list of topics that they are interested in from Hacker News. Every week, HN Mail would fetch related stories for each topic using HN Algolia Search and send out the compiled list of stories to each subscriber via emails. Subscribers can update their topics at anytime and they will be reflected in the upcoming newsletter. The service is essentially a customizable newsletter, which I believe is the first of its kind.
